Sample Bag for EPA TCLP Method
In 1990 the EPA issued a final ruling on the procedure for determining the mobility of organic and inorganic contaminants present in liquid, solid, and multiphasic wastes. The Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) provides a means to determine the potential for waste leaching in a landfill environment. According to this procedure, a pressure driven piston system, Zero Headspace Extractor (ZHE), forces liquid waste through a glass fiber filter and into a Tedlar bag for subsequent analysis. SKC offers an alternative disposable Tedlar bag for use with the Zero Headspace Extractor. The 231-01-TCLP bag is a one-liter Tedlar bag with a single stainless steel septum fitting that is designed to be connected to commercially available extractor vessels using a special stainless steel adapter (Cat. No. 231-01-ZHE). Using Standard Bags
